Today’s post isn’t going to be anything spectacular as I am still riding on the coattails of yesterday’s amazingly, successful post! I would like to reach out once again and tell Ms. Shippen how appreciative I am that she allowed me to conduct the Q&A. I couldn’t have asked for a better, first conversation with someone beyond the walls of my hometown.
I went back to my fraternity house last night for the first time since before the Christmas Break started. It was an odd experience. I enjoyed being able to reconnect with everyone that I missed over the break and talk about how excited they were to be back in town. But, I will say the strangest feeling of the night was the honest disconnect between myself and the actual organization. I wasn’t worried about anything, I wasn’t worried about how I was acting or what I was doing. I was just present. I was also the oldest, most sober person in the entire house, but that’s beside the point. It was a very introspective moment as I thought back to my first college parties and when I started drinking with the guys. I saw pieces of myself in all of the young students dropping their guards and lowering their inhibitions. Through the whole night, I had multiple people asking why I wasn’t drinking and to be honest, I just don’t feel comfortable doing that anymore. I’ve out grown it.
But, what I haven’t outgrown is having a great time and that’s exactly what I’ll be doing tonight with my close friends. If any of you aren’t familiar with the Jack Box Party Pack, you should absolutely check it out. It’s the most fun I’ve had with friends in a long time, especially while we’re all drinking.
Tonight, I’ll be doing a live stream of the game on Facebook (most likely) and anyone that would like to join in on the fun can join the Audience on all of our games while we laugh at our own, ridiculous jokes and humor.
I’d like to extend the invitation to all of you out there. I want to hear from anyone out there reading on what they’d like to see on here for the next few weeks as I continue posting. More reviews? More Q&A’s? Random nonsense? I’m up for any of it but I’d really like to hear what all of you want! Feel free to leave a comment and find me out there in the social mediaverse!
Keep it real folks!
