Week of Poetry: Day Six

I’m sorry.

I’m sorry,
I couldn’t stop the wicked,
Deadly deals and deeds.

I’m sorry,
I couldn’t plant more flowers,
Our Earth encased in weeds.

I’m sorry,
I fear to give you life,
When life’s too much for me.

I’m sorry,
I can’t give you all the dreaming,
And dreams I thought I’d be.

I’m sorry,
I didn’t fight for you,
But still I try each day.

I’m sorry,
You have to look at us,
And wonder what to say.

Hey folks! Only one day left after this and then it’s back to your regularly scheduled programming.
I realize that a lot of my poetry this week has been pretty heavy on the negativity, but it’s been hard for a lot of us with all of the new orders and changes to the big house in DC. It scares me more and more each day and I just want my voice to be heard the only way that I know how.

I hope that some of you have enjoyed this and I’m so happy to have new followers! I’ll be sure to beef up the content so it’s worth your time!

Keep it real folks
