So, I won’t lie to all of you, I’ve been playing video games when I should be writing. I know, I know, it’s not as productive as putting a “product” out there as much as I can, but I needed a break. Thankfully, I’ve always been a fan of video games, ever since I was a little dude. Recently, I sort of hit a rut with the PS4 gaming world. There hasn’t really been anything new that’s caught my eye or attention, so I ended up buying the most recent Grand Theft Auto game. Well, to make a long winded story short, I haven’t really been that much of a fan. The characters and dialogue are wonderful, but I just can’t get behind the game-play of the whole thing.
So, fast forward a few days and I have a couple of friends over to play Settlers of Catan with me and Heather. If you’re not aware of SoC , be sure to click this and find out more. So, we’re playing the game and I’m talking to my buddy Tyler about how I haven’t really had anything fun to play recently and he brings up a new game coming out called, Nioh. Well, it’s made by the same guys that did the Dark Souls series(which I’ve never played much of) and I’m immediately turned away. “A game that’s super hard to beat? Count me out.” I thought. But, as Tyler started talking more and more about the Dark Souls games, I started feeling this nagging sensation in my chest that I needed, wanted to play them.
Fast forward some more, I’ve been playing Dark Souls 2 non-stop. At first, like always, I wasn’t really aware of what the game was about and how to go about playing it. Well, as time has gone on, I’ve really gotten the hang of it and with the help of Tyler, I’ve actually been enjoying it! So, I’ll apologize for not updating a little more regularly, but hopefully you can all forgive me!
I’ll be going to Dallas over the weekend, so I might not be back until Monday. But, if that turns out to be true, I’ll be sure to bring plenty of stories from my adventures. Be sure to check me out in the social mediaverse. Also, don’t forget to leave a comment or recommend a game that you think I’d like to play!
